John Cabot University (JCU):
John Cabot University is an American University for liberal arts in the heart of Rome. It is named for the Venetian explorer Giovanni Caboto, better known by the English form of his name, John Cabot. The university has three campuses in central Rome called the Frank J. Guarini campus, the Tiber campus, and the Caroline Critelli Guarini campus on the banks of the Tiber river. As of 2016 it has more than 1,000 students in fields like Art History, Business Administration, and International Affairs. It was founded in 1972 as a small affiliate program with Hiram College, before earning accreditation in 2003.

This is a one-way outbound program, and all tuition and fees must be paid directly to JCU. The application fee is waived, and a 15% tuition discount is extended to all AUS students.

In addition to normal semester programs, JCU also offers a summer program. During the summer, JCU extends a 500 Euro tuition discount to all Engineering majors.

Obtaining a student visa is mandatory by Italian law and must be obtained before you arrive. If you are coming to Italy for less than 90 days (summer session classes), you will need to apply for a study visa if necessary, and then file a Declaration of Presence. Citizens of these countries don't need a visa for the summer sessions (but still need a Declaration of Presence). For more information on obtaining a student visa, visit https://www.johncabot.edu/student-services/immigration/study-visa.aspx.

Health Insurance:
