Dr. Linda Angell is the Director of International Exchange Programs at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to taking this role in January 2010, she served as Associate Professor of Operations and Project Management within AUS's School of Business Administration (SBA). 

Before moving to the United Arab Emirates, Linda worked both as an academic (Victoria University of Wellington, The Pennsylvania State University) and a manager within a wide range of public and private institutions in New Zealand, the U.S., Germany and the U.K. She has served as evaluator for the Dubai Quality Awards, and as evaluator and team manager for the Business Excellence awards in New Zealand. She serves as Past Chair for the Council of Advisors with the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), and is an active member of AIEA, EAIE, APAIE and NAFSA. 

Dr. Angell holds a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from Boston University, an M.B.A. with High Distinction from Babson College, and a B.A. Summa cum Laude from University of Massachusetts/Amherst.

In addition to living and working abroad for much of her adult life, Linda has had the following study abroad experiences:

  2. Study Tour Research Assistant, Prague, Czech Republic, December 1990
  3. Study Tour Participant, Japan/South Korea/Thailand/China/Hong Kong, August 1991
  4. Fulbright Scholar, University of Muenster, Germany, August 1992 to February 1994
Linda was born and grew up in Massachusetts, and has also lived in Pennsylvania, the U.K., Germany, and New Zealand.  She moved to the UAE in August of 2007 with her husband and two daughters.  She is a dual citizen in the USA and New Zealand.
